2001 Australian $1 Coin - 80th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF)

This commemorative coin celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). It honours the many Australians who have served their country in the RAAF, both past and present. While the RAAF was officially formed in 1921, its roots stretch back to 1911 when the decision was made to develop aviation within the armed forces.

This aluminium-bronze one dollar coin showcases the RAAF badge, in use since 1939, and comes in a clear cardboard presentation folder. The coin itself is uncirculated, retaining a lovely mint lustre, although some toning may be present. Please note that the folder may show some signs of wear.
