In 1984 $1 coin was introduced replacing the paper $1 Note.

To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the $1 Coin in 1994, the RAM minted the "Decade Dollar".

The reverse design carries an image of the old Australian $1 note morphing and merging into the Mob of Roo's $1 coin.

• Melbourne 'M' Mintmark (Royal Melbourne Show Issue) Mintage: 65,440
• Sydney 'S' Mintmark (Royal Easter Show Issue) Mintage: 74,426
